Chicken schnitzel wrap, $8.80

Tuesday July 7, 2009
THIS cheery little cafe does a great line in simple savoury dishes, in addition to an array of decadently sweet things. This no doubt accounts for the crowds around lunchtime, where Kew mums jostle for space at the counter with tradies on a break. The chicken schnitzel wrap (crumbed chicken cut into strips and bound in pita bread with lettuce and avocado) is a crowd pleaser. It's basic enough for those looking for no-frills fare, while also providing a tangy spice - sweet chilli sauce - to satisfy those seeking more zing.

Luck Doubt Or Lucked Out

Thursday April 5, 2007
There is much to commend the OzOne program, following a generous grant to try to improve the standard of the top players in Australia. There have been some creditable performances, but none yet that are especially praiseworthy. Best would be the sixth by Nagy-Richman in the 2006 Cavendish and their second in the World Imp Pairs in Verona last year.
